Dear NSWS Friends,
I am starting to organise a group to travel to South Korea in August 2025, and I am inviting expressions of interest from any of you who might like to join us. The group will be put together from interested members of NSWS, Hills Music Academy, and the Sydney Korean Wind Orchestra.
Expected dates are 6 August – 16 August, 2025 (TBC).
Airfares cost approx. $1,800 and must be paid in full during February. This includes return airfare from Sydney to Seoul, plus return airfare to Jeju Island, all on Korean Air, and organised by a Sydney based Travel Agent.

Most accommodation (twin share), transfers and some meals are provided by the event organisers, however there might be some incidental costs depending on how the itinerary shapes up.
Last year there was a uniform cost of $120, plus $40 extra accommodation, and $30 extra meals that were provided to the group. Travel Insurance is also an extra cost.
Rehearsals are planned for Friday evenings in Baulkham Hills with the possibility of a couple of weekend workshop/rehearsals.
I will arrange for an ‘Invitation Letter’ from the Korean organisers to help anyone obtain time away from school, university or work commitments, but please note that the dates are NOT in the school holidays.
